Recorded to iphone using sennheiser ambeo smart headset (binaural mic). There's a dip in level in the first 10 seconds where i'm playing with the mic, but it levels out shortly after that. Recorded while seated, with the "front" of the train towards the right ear. Not the greatest quality, but perhaps it will be useful to you as a background ambience.

Estonia soon switches over to new electric trains. But the old ones still have that heritage. This long recording was taken aboard the odoriko super view train from ito city bound for atami. You can hear the conductor's announcements, station arrivals and departures, passenger conversations (in japanese) and, of course, the train itself. The recording is unprocessed and made with a stereo mic pair at a 90 degree incidental angle.

We hear the size of the space at first then a passenger announcement and eventually trains letting off compressed air, trains arriving and departing and more announcements. Finally, some passengers passing by can be heard speaking.

Was out for a walk next to a bridge while a train went by, the rattle of the empty cargo containers contrasted rhythmically with the ones that were full.
